Your reputation matters. Nothing means more to you than providing your customers with quality foods based on your specifications backed by rigorous food safety and sustainability standards.  You can trust that we will provide that to you.

Innovation and flexibility

We listen to you and are always ready to meet your needs. We’re flexible enough to fill custom orders and constantly innovate to create new products and provide more value for you to pass on to your customers.

People

Our people make Bassano Farms truly unique.   We hire the very best people who are dedicated to following our strict quality control and food safety measures.

Community-focused

We have deep community roots. We planted our first seed in a field in Bassano, Alberta, in 1970 as a small farmer co-operative. Today, we have grown into a successful western Canada grower, packer and processor. Yet, we have never forgotten our roots; we give back generously to the communities that have supported us. For example, we donate nutritious vegetables every month to the Calgary Drop Inn Centre and support local charities making a difference in our communities through the annual Calgary Produce Marketing Association’s Fall Harvest.

We are active players in the food processing industry and enjoy strong connections with:

Alberta Food Processors Association
Potato Growers of Alberta
Calgary economic development

Food Safety. There’s no higher priority.

The safety and quality of the food we provide to our partners is paramount.  We strictly follow HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) food safety principles.  Our farms and packing facilities are audited to Canada GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) standards and our processing facilities are BRC-audited, adhering to Global Food Safety Initiative standards.

Plus, we ensure our food partners and suppliers share our high standards. We only partner with companies who employ GAP standards in their own workplaces.
